There are a variety of circumstances where your general dentist will decide that a referral to an oral surgery clinic is required.
Oral surgery aims to correct a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries and defects in the jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.
A number of conditions may require oral surgery, including:
-Dentoalveolar Surgery
-Removal of retained roots/fractured teeth
-Enucleation of cystic lesions of the jaws
-Pre-prosthetic surgery
Removal of minor soft tissue lesions |
